- First, use the rethreading taps to create oversized 5/8”x24 TPI threads in the crank arms
- Thoroughly clean the threads, then apply threadlocker before inserting and installing it into the crank arm
- Finally, insert the pedal into the insert

- Left and right 5/8”x24 TPI rethreading taps
- 10 threaded pedal inserts for the left crank arm
