The perfect tool to keep your bicycle's drivetrain in excellent condition. Made from precision laser-cut steel, this gauge accurately measures chain wear at the levels recommended by manufacturers.
- Monitoring chain wear is important because a worn chain can cause poor shifting and wear on other drivetrain components.
- Made from precision laser-cut steel.
- Accurately measures 0.5% and 0.75% chain wear, the wear levels at which chain manufacturers most commonly recommend replacing the chain.
- The three-point tool design isolates pin wear from roller wear. Includes a QR code with video usage instructions.
- Works on all 6 to 13-speed chains, including Sram flat top chains (excluding 13-speed Campagnolo).
- Refer to the chain manufacturer's replacement instructions. General rule for chain replacement:
- 11-13 speed chains - replace at or before 0.5% wear
- 6-10 speed chains - replace at or before 0.75% wear.
