Scott Addict 40 Road Bike

Combine race performance and specifications with a more comfortable riding position and you have the SCOTT Addict 40. It is a fast road bike that easily adapts to any ride, pace or destination you have in mind, without asking you to crouch into a racing position to get there.

Starting with the light, durable HMF carbon frame, the design focused on balancing road riding performance and all-road comfort. The frame has 25 % more vertical compliance than racing bikes to deliver a smoother, more composed ride in challenging conditions. The geometry is also more relaxed, with a higher stack and shorter reach than a race setup, for lasting comfort in the saddle. Tyre clearance also encourages you to be adventurous, accommodating tyres up to 38 mm for maximum cushioning when you take your Addict 40 on a mixed-surface adventure. That said, picking up the pace is no problem. It responds eagerly to the pedals, climbs quickly and stays planted on descents, just as keen to get your heart racing as it is to take you gently to the café on a Sunday afternoon.

SCOTT was founded in 1958 in Sun Valley, USA, by engineer and skier Ed Scott, and is now headquartered in Givisiez, Switzerland. It offers bicycles, e-bikes, clothing and equipment for people who ride. In 1986, it introduced its first mountain bike.
