The Zipp 202 Firecrest Carbon wheelset makes use of advanced technology. The Zipp 202 wheels have an internal width of 21 mm and are aerodynamically optimised for use with 28 mm wide tyres. The new designs improve Firecrest's ability to deliver low aerodynamic drag and high crosswind stability, a combination we call AeroBalance. Tubeless compatible, the wheels feature a rim with internal ridges to lock the tyre bead in place, ensuring secure performance even when riding at lower tyre pressures. Zipp's low rolling resistance, high-grip Tangente RT28 is a perfect match for this wheel. The Tubeless Road RT25 tyre is another excellent option. A new carbon fibre layup for the rims made in Indianapolis keeps weight low while retaining the proven durability of Firecrest Carbon. The robust 77D / 177D hubset, paired with 24 Sapim CX-Sprint spokes front and rear, keeps the wheels stiff and responsive. To ensure compatibility with any bike, our versatile 77D / 177D hubs feature interchangeable end caps.
