Fulcrum Red Zone Carbon Plus 29" Wheels

The world of “Plus”: the latest frontier of Fulcrum technology for MTB wheels.
Fulcrum's flagship product for XC and Marathon competitions evolves thanks to feedback from top-level athletes: Red Zone Carbon+ is the result of specific analysis and tests aimed at taking Red Zone Carbon's performance to the next level.
A process that directly involved the athletes of Team Buff-Megamo, who, along with other athletes, tested different configurations on race courses for a year to find the perfect balance and maximum possible performance.
The result arrived just before the Cape Epic 2023: a wheel weighing 1,385 g, achieved through the use of a mix of resins and unidirectional high modulus FF100 fibers made to Fulcrum specifications, which maintains and improves all structural characteristics and incorporates all the best Fulcrum technologies. With Red Zone Carbon+, handling and reactivity improve significantly, by +9.5% and +10% respectively compared to Red Zone Carbon.

The iconic and distinctive shape of the Red Zone Carbon NIP(PLE) FORCE rim remains unchanged, inheriting the MoMag and DSRC technologies. The bearings are still cone-cup type but are improved with the USB™ system (Ceramic Ultra Smooth Bearings) using ceramic balls, which further enhance wheel smoothness while reducing weight and maintenance. Comparative tests have shown that USB™ bearings are 50% smoother than sealed bearings.
