The Redshift seatpost shim lets you fit a 27.2 mm seatpost into a wider seat tube measuring 29,8, 30, 30,9 or 31.6 mm. Insert it into the tube before the seatpost and, once installed, it remains virtually invisible. It weighs from 30 to 52 g depending on the seat tube diameter.
It is useful if your bike has a wider seat tube and you want to keep your existing seatpost without changing the frame. Its purpose is to bridge the difference between the two diameters, so it is suitable only for 27.2 mm seatposts. Before buying, check the internal diameter of the seat tube: the shim is designed for 29,8, 30, 30,9 or 31.6 mm tubes. Also check the diameter of the seatpost you want to fit.
