Garmin Varia RearVue 820 Light

The Varia RearVue 820 features our most powerful and accurate radar yet, with a wider field of view for more reliable alerts than ever. The rear light offers up to 2 km of visibility and also alerts when stopping or braking.

• SMART AND RELIABLE RADAR: With our most powerful and accurate radar detection technology, the Varia RearVue 820 detects approaching vehicles up to 175 meters away with a wider field of view.

• REAR LIGHT AND BRIGHT BRAKE LIGHT: The rear light makes you visible up to 2 km away. A brake light detects when you slow down or stop and displays a unique flashing sequence.

• ADVANCED VEHICLE DETECTION: See alerts for small, medium, and large vehicles and know when a vehicle changes lanes, along with its threat level, when paired with a newer Edge® model or the Varia™ app on your smartphone.

• RECEIVE ALERTS YOUR WAY: For visual and audible alerts while riding, connect this radar to the Varia app, compatible Edge devices, or Garmin smartwatches. In addition to wrist alerts, select Garmin smartwatches can also provide audio alerts for approaching vehicles; this feature is currently available in the Garmin Public Beta version for some smartwatches³.

• MULTIPLE BRIGHTNESS OPTIONS: Ride with four different brightness levels: daytime flash, nighttime flash, steady mode, and group mode, which help protect the eyes of riders behind you. You can also customize your preferred mode via the Varia app.

• COMPACT DESIGN: The compact design and new Varia RearVue 820 seatpost mount fit almost all road or gravel bikes perfectly and are compatible with the Varia seatpost mount kit (sold separately).
