The RockShox Maxima Grease fork grease is designed for MTB suspension: forks and shocks with hydraulic parts and seals, where smooth, consistent movement is needed. It reduces the force needed to move the stanchions and limits stick-slip, the judder felt when a stanchion moves in jerks.
It is waterproof and resistant to washout, so it stays in place even in water and mud, and helps keep dirt and moisture away from the seals. It also works well at low temperatures and is compatible with NBR, fluoroelastomer, urethane and silicone seals. The fluorescent yellow colour makes it easy to see where you have applied it during maintenance.
