The Shimano TL-SR24 chain whip holds the sprocket steady while you unscrew the cassette lockring. It works with 10 to 12-speed sprockets and is used with the TL-LR15 or TL-LR20 removal tools to remove the lockring.
It is made from chrome-molybdenum steel with a chrome-plated blade and has a rubber-coated handle for a secure grip. It measures 14 x 4 x 1 inches and weighs approximately 14 ounces. Note the limitation: the chain position means it cannot remove fixed-gear sprockets, so choose another tool when working on a fixed-gear bike. Manufacturer code Y13098730 (alternative TL6303).
