Charger 3

The Charger 3 system represents a true revolution in damping adjustment capability. Any rider can find the right setting within the wide and precise adjustment range. The ultimate goal was to reduce shocks reaching the rider’s hands, leading to total control and confidence. This means increased compression damping and superior fork control: no jolts, no feedback, no need to shake your hands at the end of the descent caused by all those slowing impacts. The spring opposing the piston allows unmatched impact response and better feedback throughout the travel. When the trail gets tough, this perfectly oiled mechanism is ready to react as fast as you do. SKF Seals

Everyone loves collaborations, which is why Rock Shox has been working with SKF, the world’s highest-performing seal manufacturer, for over 5 years. Together they provide wiper seals with very low friction, less fatigue, and an unmatched suspension feel, all while keeping dirt where it belongs, because nobody wants it inside.

Pressure Relief Valves

Pressure relief valves eliminate unwanted air buildup in the lower leg caused by altitude or temperature changes. With the simple press of one or two buttons, the pressure relief valves restore balance to the lower leg for optimal sensitivity and excellent fork feel.

ButterCups

Two small golden discs placed at the end of the hydraulic stanchions and air cartridge that fit into the fork lowers... but they like to call them ButterCups. The goal was to find a solution to block high-frequency vibrations transmitted from the terrain – through the fork – directly to your aching hands. Think of those root-filled or loose rock sections. ButterCups absorb the initial part of impacts and significantly reduce the chance of fatigue. They block 20% of unwanted vibrations before they reach your hands. The golden housings at the ends of the damper and air spring contain two rubber discs that absorb high-frequency vibrations before they pass through the fork and reach the handlebar. ButterCups are those small precious things you don’t notice unless for the undeniable influence they have on your ride.

DebonAir +

Born from an endless obsession with performance optimization, DebonAir+ offers exceptional response and consistency you can rely on. Mid-stroke support has been increased, allowing the fork to stay more extended and use every millimeter of travel, giving the rider more confidence when the trail gets steep. The goal was to have consistent response across all three fork platforms, with specific positive and negative air volumes to ensure each spring works best depending on each rider’s use.

New Ultimate Bushings

The RockShox engineering team worked hard to develop new bushings that allow your fork’s performance to withstand weather, impacts, and the hours of riding you’re ready to face. Bushings play a fundamental role in allowing the stanchions and lowers to work well together and slide smoothly through the travel. Internal bushing overlap has been maximized across all models to reduce friction throughout the range. The new Ultimate models feature lower bushings with a 53% increased length compared to before to further optimize friction reduction. When trail bumps try to throw your wheel off line, the new Ultimate bushings on the higher-end models let your fork confidently maintain control.
