At the top of MTB braking systems, the XTR RT-MT905 disc brake rotors offer superb stopping power for the most aggressive riding. ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA rotors dissipate heat to maintain braking performance on long downhill stretches.

Features

Outstanding stopping power, consistency, and control for peak performance in the most demanding riding conditions
Maximum heat reduction thanks to the ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA rotor structure combined with a special high heat-dissipation paint
The significantly reduced surface temperature improves braking performance and consistency (less efficiency loss), reduces noise, and extends pad life
The 203 mm RT-MT905 model operates at 100°C lower than a 220 mm stainless steel rotor under extreme conditions, with a more compact design

Technologies

Ice Technologies Freeza
ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA rotors use a 3-layer stainless steel-aluminum-stainless steel structure to reduce heat buildup. The inner aluminum layer extends inward with a wide cooling fin that enhances cooling capacity. ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA rotors deliver advanced performance, surpassing the already outstanding performance of our ICE TECHNOLOGIES rotors. The fins dissipate heat and help maintain lower temperatures under extreme conditions to ensure stable braking power, reducing efficiency loss and noise. ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA rotors feature an extensive inner aluminum layer with wide cooling fins that increase cooling efficiency. Shimano ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA rotors offer an impressive 100°C reduction in heat buildup compared to standard stainless steel rotors and a 40°C reduction compared to our ICE TECHNOLOGY rotors. Additionally, the fins on our high-end rotors are coated with a special high heat-dissipation paint that can further reduce heat buildup by 10°C.
