The SRAM XDR 12-speed freehub body with a Novatec B freehub is for riders fitting cassettes to a rear hub who need an aluminum freehub body for road and MTB use. It accepts XDR and XD cassettes: 12-speed cassettes mount directly, with 4 engagement pawls.
Check your cassette type and whether you need the 1.8 mm spacer, included only with the XDR version. With the 1.8 mm spacer, the body can be used with 11- and 12-speed MTB cassettes; without it, 12-speed cassettes mount directly.
