Schwalbe Gator Hardshell Folding Tyre

The Schwalbe Gator Hardshell folding tyre is intended for road riders seeking reinforced puncture protection. The three-layer casing has a third polyamide layer in the sidewall, and a Poly-X breaker sits beneath the tread and shoulders. The tear-resistant DuraSkin covering on the outer casing and the Hardshell finish complete the construction.

The available sizes are 700x23 and 700x32. To choose, consider the rim and frame clearance: 23 is the narrower size and 32 the wider, and width affects volume and comfort. Before buying, check that the size is compatible with your bike's brakes and fork.

Schwalbe was established in Germany in 1973 by Ralf Bohle, with roots in the family business founded in Bergneustadt in 1922. Today it is based in Reichshof and makes bicycle tyres and inner tubes. Its name means “swallow” in German and translates Swallow, the name of the first tyres imported from Korea.
