With outstanding traction and braking grip guaranteed by special knobs, Scorpion™ XC R is the perfect bike tire for everyday training. Mounted on the rear, thanks to the special knobs and a tread with medium profile and spacing, Scorpion™ XC R ensures traction and stability on a variety of different terrains, from compact to soft. A perfect combination when paired with the front Scorpion™ XC M or Scorpion™ XC S. The compound used is the result of an intense research and development process that has achieved absolute performance in both dry and wet conditions. Optimized designs for terrain consistency disregard weather conditions, maximizing the effectiveness of the various knob geometries present in the Scorpion™ MTB range, for truly uncompromising performance. With the Pirelli Scorpion™ MTB range, it is no longer necessary to change tires based on weather conditions, but only to focus on the consistency of the terrains you usually face. Pro Wall

ProWALL is a sidewall reinforcement technology that improves puncture protection and handling even at low pressures. The additional nylon fabric layer on the carcass sidewalls enhances not only protection against cuts and pinch flats but also the stability of the entire structure, allowing better handling and more precise cornering, both essential to improve your offroad riding experience. All this without compromising weight and rolling efficiency, making ProWALL a perfect solution for both cross-country racing and aggressive trail and enduro when paired with different carcass constructions, respectively 120 tpi and 60 tpi.


SmartGrip Compound

Decades of success in Motocross and Rally World Championships have led Pirelli engineers to develop an innovative compound, the SmartGRIP Compound for the Scorpion™ MTB range, combining two opposing features: the SmartGrip Compound for Scorpion™ MTB, combining two opposing features: tear resistance, for maximum mechanical grip in dry conditions and at the same time maximum puncture resistance; chemical grip on wet surfaces, so you don’t have to worry about rain and muddy, slippery trail sections.
