Hyperwall
HyperWall is a new construction that improves handling and protection against punctures at low pressures, key factors in off-road applications, especially in more demanding and aggressive ones like Gravity and e-MTB, where heel robustness and sidewall stability are fundamental pillars of performance. This innovation, derived from Pirelli's Motocross experience, features a taller rubber reinforcement on both sidewalls combined with an additional fabric layer connecting it to the bead, stabilizing it (+10%) and protecting it while increasing pinch flat resistance by 50%. Stability and solidity are guaranteed without the weight penalty of a traditional dual-ply. All this translates into lightness, tread flexibility, and therefore grip and maneuverability even at low pressures (+25%).

SmartGrip Compound
Decades of success in Motocross and Rally World Championships have led Pirelli engineers to develop an innovative compound: the SmartGrip Compound for Scorpion™ MTB, combining two opposing characteristics: Tear resistance, for maximum mechanical grip in dry conditions and at the same time maximum puncture resistance; Chemical grip on wet surfaces, so you don’t have to worry about rain and muddy, slippery trail sections; The compound used is the result of an intense research and development process that has achieved absolute performance in both dry and wet conditions. Tubeless Ready
Tubeless ready tires offer many advantages to the rider: the ability to use lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance compared to a tire with an inner tube; less chance of punctures because there is no inner tube. Tubeless ready tires must be mounted on rims compatible with tubeless and require the use of a liquid sealant to maintain pressure. Liquid sealants have the added benefit of sealing small punctures. Be sure to check the sealant regularly and replace it if necessary, as it dries out over time.
