The trail version of the Maxxis Minion DHR II features the same tread pattern as its downhill counterpart but uses a single-ply casing to reduce weight. With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF but widened to provide more support, the Minion DHR II has no rivals in cornering.
The central tread has ramped knobs to improve acceleration and sipes that allow smooth transitions when leaning into turns. The shovel-shaped knobs on the central tread dig into the ground during sudden braking and help keep the bike under control. Use it paired with a Minion DHF for aggressive trail riding at the front!

Technologies

TR - Tubeless Ready

Maxxis UST-certified tubeless mountain bike tires feature the latest technology for lighter tubeless tires. This technology offers better puncture resistance, improved air retention, and increased durability at a lower weight than previous tubeless designs. By adding a thin layer of fabric coated with a special rubber compound, the casing is lighter, stronger, and more airtight.

EXO-Protection

This is a material added to the sidewalls of selected mountain bike tires, extremely resistant to cuts and abrasions. This layer is made with a dense, super-light, highly flexible weave that does not affect tire performance.

WT - Wide Trail

The WT construction optimizes the tire tread and volume to fit modern rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrower rims and risk creating an overly squared profile, reducing performance. WT tires are optimized for 35 mm wide rims and work properly with rims from 30 to 35 mm.

Dual compound

Two rubber compounds used in the tread to provide lower rolling resistance and greater cornering grip.
