The new version of the Maxxis Forekaster is aimed squarely at modern short-travel trail bikes (100mm-130mm), the "downcountry" segment. Designed to be a "Goldilocks" tyre, the new Forekaster (released in July 2022) rolls faster than a Minion or even the Dissector , but provides more predictable cornering, climbing and braking traction than the Aspen or the Rekon.

Technologies:

EXO

EXO is a cut- and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of many Maxxis mountain bike and gravel tyres. This densely woven fabric is lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that tyre performance remains unaffected. Choose EXO protection for greater durability for gravel, XC and light trail riding.

TUBELESS READY

Tubeless ready tyres offer riders numerous benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance than a tyre with an inner tube; and less chance of flats because there is no inner tube. Tubeless ready tyres are marked with the letters "TR" on the sidewall.

Tubeless ready tyres must be mounted on tubeless-compatible rims and require liquid sealant to maintain pressure. Liquid sealants have the added benefit of sealing small punctures. Check the sealant regularly and replenish it as needed, as it will dry out over time.

Liquid sealants must only be used in the following tyre types: road tubeless, tubular and tubeless ready. Using liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tyre will void the warranty.
