Technologies

Pure Grip Compound
Based on an activated silica compound, this technology was originally developed for mid-range products. Following intensive development at the Research and Development centre in Korbach, a new advanced compound emerged with excellent grip and properties suited to Cross Country.
The new rubber compound, whose PureGrip name speaks for itself, sits just below BlackChili and is used in high-end Continental products for both road and MTB use. Alongside great grip, it also ensures long life, both hallmarks of Continental tyres, which are manufactured exclusively at the Hefei factory.

RTR - Revolution Tubeless Ready
Tubeless Ready tyres can be used with an inner tube or without one by using sealant.
The revolutionary flexible Tubeless Ready bead allows quick and easy tyre fitting without an inner tube.
All Continental tyres in ProTection and Performance versions feature Tubeless Ready technology (RTR). For an optimal tyre seal, Continental RevoSealant puncture sealant is recommended.
