The Grand Prix 5000 features Continental's newest technologies. An updated version of Continental's Black Chili Compound provides a perfect balance between rolling resistance and grip. With "Lazer Grip Technology," the shoulders of the Grand Prix 5000's tread are rougher. This gives the GP 5000 optimal cornering grip. This laser-etched tread also improves airflow around the tire for better aerodynamics.

More stability and comfort.
Additionally, the GP 5000 has a renewed casing. The new 3-ply 330 tpi construction is stiffer than its predecessor's casing. This gives the GP 5000 greater stability in corners and at high speeds. The tire also features an Active Comfort layer. As the name suggests, Active Comfort ensures a high level of riding comfort. Technologies

Black Chili Compound.
Continental's designers went back to the drawing board to further perfect the Black Chili Compound of the Grand Prix 4000 SII. And they succeeded! Several test results show that the Continental GP5000 scores higher in terms of rolling resistance, durability, and wear resistance.

LazerGrip Technology.
Continental laser-etched the edges of the Grand Prix 5000. The laser profile optimally adapts to the road surface. This results in increased cornering grip. The difference is noticeable at high speeds and on wet roads!

Active Comfort.
A cushioning layer is applied underneath. This Active Comfort layer reduces oscillations and vibrations from the road surface. The increased comfort allows you to stay in an aerodynamic position longer. This offers you an unprecedented riding experience.

Vectran Breaker Layer.
