Technologies
PowerLock
Sram engineers developed PowerLock® as a safe and easy way to connect the two ends of the chain. PowerLock® requires no special tools for installation, but the particularly tight tolerances of 10-, 11- and 12-speed drivetrains mean that each PowerLock® must only be used once.
Flattop
To bring X-Range™ technology to life, Sram had to develop a narrower chain. The unique Flattop™ link shape not only made it possible to expand the gear range, but also made drivetrain operation quieter and increased chain strength and durability.
