The new C13 chain is a fundamental component of the Ekar mechanical group; besides providing efficient transmission, in gravel discipline the chain must work perfectly to contribute to smooth and fast gear shifting, always ensuring maximum safety. It must also be robust and durable, and the Ekar C13 chain delivers outstanding performance on all fronts. With a width of only 4.9 mm, the C13 chain is 0.25 mm narrower than the Campagnolo 12-speed chain, but offers exactly the same high performance and long-lasting durability, features recognized in all Campagnolo chains. The C13 chain pairs effectively with the special profile teeth of the 1x13 speed crankset gear and Ekar cogs for secure, efficient, and smooth transmission. Despite its narrow profile, the C13 chain is very robust; its inner links made of C60 steel with nickel-teflon surface treatment resist the highest wear rates encountered on gravel routes. The entire chain, manufactured at the Campagnolo plant in Vicenza, undergoes an exclusive lubrication process, with an ultrasonic bath system that ensures the special lubricant formula deeply and evenly coats all the links. The result is efficient operation and high resilience, guaranteeing longevity even in tough off-road conditions, and requiring less maintenance. The Ekar C13 chain is available in two closure options: the classic Campagnolo pin, or the new C-Link™, for even easier removal and cleaning. Both versions are designed to offer the versatility needed to meet the diverse demands of every type of gravel use worldwide. Whether you are a pure gravel rider, competing in long-distance endurance races, or you choose to enjoy the all-road experience, in both versions you will enjoy the same durability and efficiency through the use of the same materials and processes.
