HJC Valeco Road Helmet

The VALECO is a modern, aerodynamic and perfectly ventilated helmet, weighing approximately 30 grams more than its bigger sibling, the HJC Ibex. The helmet's 12 vents keep your head cool in every situation, from the spring classics to hot Alpine climbs in summer. The new Valeco combines various advanced technologies developed for other models to offer the best possible experience in safety, ventilation, comfort and design. The helmet also features more traditional details such as an adjustable occipital cradle, eyewear holder, strap divider and antibacterial X-Static padding. This helmet comes with a bag to protect it when you take it with you.

Wind tunnel tested

HJC helmets are tested in the laboratory and in real life to meet the highest quality standards. HJC is one of very few helmet companies with its own wind tunnel for testing aerodynamics, ventilation, noise and more. The HJC wind tunnel laboratory measures aerodynamic forces in various riding conditions to improve helmet performance.

Aerodynamic Design

Drawing on their experience designing MotoGP helmets, HJC designers and engineers have become experts in aerodynamics and ventilation. Aero helmets, as the name suggests, are more aerodynamic than traditional road cycling helmets, but their ventilation performance is compromised. With HJC helmets, this compromise is greatly reduced. Venturi Dynamics

To achieve maximum ventilation, a technical adaptation of Bernoulli's principle is applied to HJC aerodynamically enhanced models. In motion, surface airflow generally accelerates as it moves towards the rear of the helmet. Pressure differences draw cool air from the front intake through the rear vent, dissipating internal heat and providing the rider with optimal ventilation and perfect airflow while riding.

In-Mold Construction

In-mold is a method that bonds the EPS to the outer polycarbonate shell for greater structural strength. This improves rider protection by providing compact reinforcement and giving the product a perfect finish.

Internal Reinforcement Structure

The helmets are reinforced with an internal structure integrated into the EPS. This framework keeps the helmet in one piece and makes it stronger and more durable to protect your head in a collision.

Advanced Ventilation System

A certain amount of air passes through the front air intake, circulates inside the helmet and finally exits through the exhaust vent. Internal airflow is thus enhanced to cool the head and dissipate heat.
