Carbo-metallic brake pads are always made with a semi-metallic compound but with a higher content of metal fragments, resulting in better resistance to very high temperatures. The pad has less bite than organic pads when cold, but heats up quickly, allowing it to have good braking feel right away and low noise if broken in.
