- First, use the reaming taps to create oversized TPI threads 5/8ћ24 in the crank arms
- Clean the threads thoroughly, then apply threadlocker to the insert and install it in the crank arm
- Finally, insert the pedal into the insert

- Left- and right-hand 5/8ћ24 TPI reaming taps
- 10 threaded pedal bushings for the left crank arm
- 10 threaded pedal bushings for the right crank arm

Unior was founded in 1919 in Zreče, in present-day Slovenia, where it is still based. For bicycle care, it makes tools, repair stands and wheel equipment. Its name, adopted in the 1970s, comes from the expression “universal tools” and reflects its roots in metalworking.
