The Zipp 808 Firecrest Disc wheel is a 80 mm tubeless-ready wheel designed for criteriums, time trials and triathlon. The carbon rim has an internal width of 23 mm and an external width of 27 mm, suitable for wide tyres run at lower pressures. The manufacturer specifies a minimum tyre width of 25 mm and recommends a 28 mm tyre, with which the wheel performs best aerodynamically.
The ZR1 hub has 66 engagement points and Sapim CX Sprint J-bend spokes. The wheel has 20 spoke holes, a 12 x 100 mm axle (front) or 12 x 142 mm axle (rear) and a Centerlock disc brake mount. The wheel is black and comes in size 700c. The rear has a SRAM XDR freehub body.
