Schwalbe Pro One Tyre

The Schwalbe Pro One 700x30C tyre is a folding tyre for 28-inch wheels, in size 30-622. This is the Tube Type version, so it must only be used with an inner tube and is unsuitable for tubeless fitting. The tread uses ADDIX RACE compound and includes V-GUARD puncture protection, with a 127 TPI casing.

The claimed weight is 280 g and the sidewall is transparent. When choosing the size, check the clearance in the frame and between the brakes: the 30 section offers more volume than narrower options, but requires more clearance. Also check rim compatibility before buying.

Schwalbe was established in Germany in 1973 by Ralf Bohle, with roots in the family business founded in Bergneustadt in 1922. Today it is based in Reichshof and makes bicycle tyres and inner tubes. Its name means “swallow” in German and translates Swallow, the name of the first tyres imported from Korea.
