The Shimano Tourney TX 7/8s rear derailleur replaces the rear derailleur on a bike with 7- or 8-speed gearing. Compare the TX 7/8s designation with the number of sprockets on your rear wheel, because the rear derailleur only works with a drivetrain with the same number of gears. If in doubt, check the code on your current rear derailleur before ordering.
