Shimano XTR PD-M9100 Pedals
Couldn't load pickup availability
The Shimano XTR 9100 pedals have been designed specifically for XC. They are durable and deliver high-level performance on the road, thanks to Shimano Know How technology with forged bearings that improve pedalling technique. Compared with the previous series model, the contact area between pedal and shoe is wider and flatter, improving power transfer and providing greater control on more technically demanding routes. The design has been optimised with an improved self-cleaning system for adverse weather conditions. Cleats and bolts included.
Features
- Wider edge contact area for a reliable pedal/shoe interface and efficient power transfer.
- Improved mud shedding from the cylindrical contact area for predictable engagement and release.
- Axle length: 55 mm.
- Efficient pedalling and improved bike control.
- Actual weight: 315 (pair).
Technology
SPD (Shimano pedaling dynamics)
Performance on and off the bike, in any conditions
SPD offers greater efficiency, improved stability and comfort both on and off the bike, even in the most adverse conditions, while recessed cleats make walking easier.
Adjustable engagement and release tension
Adjustable tension allows cleat engagement to be set to the rider's preference.
Mud-shedding design
The open binding mechanism and refined axle housing allow mud and debris to escape when the rider clips into the pedal.
Cartridge axle bearing unit
Cartridge bearings reduce maintenance requirements by preventing dust and moisture from entering.
Strong, reliable shimano construction
Off-road cycling pedals must withstand extreme loads: that is why SPD pedals offer a perfect balance of low weight, strength and reliability.
Founded in 1921 in Sakai, Japan, by Shozaburo Shimano, Shimano is still based in the same city today. For cyclists, it makes drivetrains, brakes, wheels, pedals and cycling shoes. Its history in bicycle components began with the production of freewheels in 1922.
