Introduction

This cookie policy applies to the website https://evolutionbikes.it/ (the "Website") and has been drawn up in accordance with Regulation (UE) 2016/679 (GDPR), the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on cookies of 10 June 2021. Data Controller: Bikilia S.r.l., Strada Statale 85 Venafrana 230, 86079 Venafro (IS), info@evolutionbikes.it. For other processing activities, please see the Privacy Notice.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file that the Website saves in your browser and reads again on subsequent visits. Similar tools (such as browser local storage and "pixels") work in a similar way and are treated in the same way here. First-party cookies are set by the Website; third-party cookies are set by other providers.

Your choices

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category. You can change your mind at any time using the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page. Without your consent, we only use necessary cookies. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge); blocking necessary cookies may prevent the basket and checkout from working.

Categories of cookies used on the Website

1. Necessary cookies (always active)

These enable the Website to work and do not require consent: basket, checkout, account access, security, your chosen language and country, and saving your cookie choices.

  • Shopify (shop platform): for example cart, _secure_session_id, localization, _tracking_consent, keep_alive, _cmp_a. Duration: from the session up to 1 year.
  • Consentmo (cookie banner): records your preferences. Duration: up to 1 year.
  • Virtual assistant (Website chat): saves the current conversation and your chosen language in your browser so they are not lost when you change pages.
  • Payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Scalapay, Klarna, HeyLight): technical and fraud prevention cookies during payment.

2. Analytics cookies (only with consent)

These help us understand how the Website is used (pages viewed, searches, most-viewed products) so we can improve it.

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd): for example _ga, _ga_*. Duration: up to 2 years. Data may also pass through our measurement server (Stape), which forwards it to Google in accordance with the choices made in the banner.
  • Shopify analytics: for example _shopify_y, _shopify_s. Duration: from 30 minutes to 1 year.

3. Marketing and profiling cookies (only with consent)

These measure our campaigns and show you more relevant adverts on other websites and apps.

  • Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd): for example _gcl_au, _gcl_aw. Duration: up to 90 days.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, Facebook and Instagram): for example _fbp, _fbc. Duration: up to 90 days.
  • Shop / Shopify: campaign measurement in the Shop app and basket synchronisation for Shop users.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UE (for example in the United States), on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. Each provider also processes data in accordance with its own privacy notice: Google, Meta, Shopify.

Retention

The durations indicated are the maximum lifetimes of the individual cookies. Data collected through analytics and marketing cookies is retained until consent is withdrawn and, in any event, no longer than the periods specified by the respective providers.

Your rights

You can access your data, request its rectification or erasure, restrict its processing, object to processing, request data portability and withdraw consent at any time (using the "Manage cookies" link), without affecting prior processing. You can write to info@evolutionbikes.it or use the Privacy requests page, and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
