Description

Orbit

Orbit technology is an innovative new form of derailleur movement control. It uses silicone fluid as part of an elegant, ultralight damping system. Compared with a standard friction clutch system, Orbit technology places no additional resistance on the rear derailleur spring during slow or slight movements. This means easier shifting and rear wheel removal. And while riding, the fluid damper reduces chain bounce. It delivers solid reliability for both 1x and 2x systems. 

AXS

AXS is the new bicycle component integration system from SRAM that connects the bike's electronic components and software. The SRAM AXS app allows riders to view battery status, change component behaviour, customise controls, receive maintenance reminders and update firmware.

X-SYNC

SRAM X-SYNC 1x chainrings offer the highest level of performance and durability. The tall, square tooth edges of SRAM X-SYNC engage the chain earlier than traditional triangular teeth. The sharp, narrow tooth profile and rounded, chamfered edges help manage a deflected chain. To deliver the best possible performance in muddy conditions, X-SYNC chainrings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. Designed in Germany, X-SYNC chainrings are an integral part of the SRAM 1x drivetrain. Accept no imitations.

eTap

All the technology behind our new SRAM RED eTap groupset, including wireless shifting, advanced battery power management and mechatronic technologies, is designed to serve one ultimate purpose: to provide the most intuitive and consistent shifting available. This shift logic is called eTap. The right lever makes the gear harder, the left lever makes it easier, and both levers shift the front derailleur. Simple, unmistakable and intuitive.
