The ABUS Youn-I MIPS is a modern, comfortable cycling helmet equipped with the enhanced MIPS protection system.
SAFETY PER EVERYONE The ABUS Youn-I MIPS is a modern and particularly safe cycling helmet aimed at two generations. With its understated, urban and fashionable look, it appeals to young cyclists and women seeking a helmet for typically female head shapes. MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System, a system developed by experts in preventing brain injuries caused by rotational falls. With the MIPS system, up to 40% of the impact energy can be dissipated, significantly limiting the energy transferred to the brain. This makes it possible to limit potential brain injuries or even prevent them entirely.
Mips Layer: a thin plastic shell located between the inner padding and the helmet shell that absorbs energy to counteract rotational forces in a fall
Reflective sticker: for better visibility in the dark
Insect mesh: keeps flies and insects away from the head without blocking the helmet's ventilation
Clip-on rear light: attaches to the back of the helmet and provides greater visibility
Two different lighting modes (rear light): Steady for continuous light and Flash for rapidly flashing light
Runtime per mode in h (min.): depending on weather conditions and use, the light lasts at least 12 hours in steady mode and at least 24 hours in flashing mode
Clip-on peak: removable peak secured with pins to protect against sunlight
Zoom™ Spin fit system: dial at the back of the head for individually adjusting the helmet to the head circumference
Flap Divider™: strap divider for individual adjustment below the ears; with a fastening to secure the chosen position
Comfort padding: soft padded inserts for optimum comfort, attached to the helmet with Velcro
Removable, washable padding: can be removed and washed by hand or replaced if necessary
Clip buckle: for safe, practical use, the straps feature a classic clip buckle (three-pronged connection) for opening and closing
In-Mold process: a manufacturing process in which the inner shock-absorbing expanded polystyrene material (EPS) is foamed directly into the outer polycarbonate shell (PC), creating a durable, robust bond
