Trek Marlin+ Gen 2 Frameset

The Marlin+ frameset is a trail-ready e-MTB platform made from lightweight Alpha NEXT Gold Aluminium. It is designed with a Bosch Active Line+ motor and a 120 mm fork for confident off-road riding, with size-specific wheels for an optimal fit: 27,5˝ for sizes XS and S and 29˝ for sizes M to XL.

Highlights

• A better way to produce aluminium: Starting in 2024, we began replacing conventional aluminium with aluminium with a reduced carbon footprint, produced using renewable energy. By October 2025, almost all the aluminium bikes produced, including this one, had made the transition, significantly reducing our environmental footprint.

Trek was founded in 1976 in Waterloo, Wisconsin, by Dick Burke and Bevil Hogg and is still based in the same city today. It makes road, mountain, gravel, city and electric bikes to support different ways of riding. Its story began in a barn, with 904 steel touring frames produced in its first year.
