Technology

Lever Pivot Bearings

Precision sealed bearings on the lever pivot improve clean and precise lever actuation and a smooth, light one-finger feel.

Timing Port Closure

The timing port of a hydraulic brake is the connection between the reservoir and the lever cylinder bore. When the lever is pressed, a cup seal passes over this area and closes the port, pressurizing the system. The SRAM distribution port closure system features durable seals and an ultra-smooth cylinder bore finish that produces reliable braking power and consistency.

Expandable Bladder

The new SRAM brake lever design includes a reshaped membrane that helps regulate and reduce air bubbles. The membrane is specially shaped to evacuate air from the lever and push fluid exactly where it’s needed. The result is better backpressure release, producing reliable braking power and consistency.

Bleeding Edge

With this new caliper fluid circuit, the bleed port has been moved to the bottom of the caliper and all four piston bores can communicate. This way, during bleeding, the fluid naturally fills the caliper, resulting in easier and more consistent bleeding.

Direct Link

The SRAM DirectLink lever design produces a solid and positive feel the moment you press the lever to activate the brake. Offers a practical solution to give you precise control.
