After 14 years and numerous special editions, the popular GP 4000 has been updated, creating the GP 5000.
The GP 4000 S II is widely recognised as the best in its class, a tyre offering excellent performance and outstanding reliability. Now, 14 years after the first GP 4000 was introduced, the legendary Continental has been completely redesigned and improved in every area, including the latest Tubeless version.
The GP 5000 S TR is similar to the standard version but adds an airtight layer and a shaped sidewall with softer rubber for easier fitting, despite a stronger 220 TPI casing. Continental states that the new versions will offer the perfect balance between safety and ease of fitting. The Black Chili compound patented by Continental has been updated with a new formula and laser-etched tread to offer even better cornering grip. Continental also claims a more aerodynamic tyre surface with less turbulence.

Tubeless Ready
Tubeless Ready tyres can be used with an inner tube or without one by using sealant. The revolutionary flexible Tubeless Ready bead allows quick and easy tubeless tyre fitting. All Continental tyres in the ProTection and Performance versions feature Tubeless Ready technology (RTR).
