The SRAM Massage Spacer piston spacer tool, measuring 3.7 mm, is used for the piston massage procedure on disc brakes. It improves lever travel and provides a more consistent bite point, making the lever feel more predictable.
This tool is for anyone carrying out brake maintenance. It replaces the use of two stacked rotors, which were used to push the calliper pistons fully outwards. It is compatible with all SRAM callipers except monobloc models. For instructions, consult the mineral oil brake bleed manual for MTB.
