The SRAM Rival 1 crankset is an aluminum, single-chainring crankset with a 42- or 50-tooth chainring, designed for road, cyclocross, and triathlon. The manufacturer recommends it for a variety of terrain, from road races to gravel rides. Its black aluminum crank arms and GXP bottom bracket make it a straightforward option.
It is compatible with 42- or 50-tooth chainrings and 170, 172.5, or 175 mm crank arms (the 170 mm option is only available with the 42-tooth chainring). Choose based on the gearing you need and your height. The GXP bottom bracket requires separate cups, which are not included.
