Maxxis Minion DHR II Tyre 27,5x2.40 WT EXO+ TR 3C Maxx Terra

With its completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tyre for aggressive riding.
With side knobs from the legendary DHF, slightly improved for even greater cornering support, it offers excellent traction. The centre knobs are tapered for better acceleration and braking. The longitudinally cut tread makes high-speed cornering a breeze.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)

This special casing construction optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's wider modern rims. Traditional tyres are developed for narrow rims and end up with an overly square shape on wide rims, which is less than ideal for performance.
WT tyres are optimised for an internal rim width of 35 mm, but perform excellently on all rims with an internal width between 30 and 40 mm.

Tubeless Ready (TR)

Tubeless tyres have numerous advantages: you can ride at lower air pressures. This offers better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And without an inner tube, the risk of failure is reduced. MAXXIS TR tyres are better prepared for fitting with sealant than other "Tubeless Ready" tyres. The bead of our TR tyres is completely covered with a layer of rubber, like a true UST tubeless tyre. This means tubeless installation succeeds on all standard-sized rims on the first inflation and with little sealant.

Even “standard” MAXXIS MTB tyres can be fitted without an inner tube using sealant, like tyres from other manufacturers, because the casing fabric is very dense.
However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless installation and covered by MAXXIS's warranty. Tubeless installation of other models is at your own risk.

Note: we strongly advise against using sealant containing ammonia. Ammonia has been shown to attack the casing and, depending on the quantity used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months.

EXO+ Protection

The improved EXO+ casing is based on a robust 60TPI casing coated with abrasion-resistant rubber. In addition, the tyre sidewalls feature a reinforced, rubberised EXO puncture protection layer, while a short butyl insert sits above the tyre bead. Tyres with EXO+ protection are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing and are ideal for the higher torque and weight associated with e-MTB.

3C MaxxTerra

3C MaxxTerra is the optimal three-layer rubber compound for our enduro and freeride tyres. This compound offers easy rolling uphill and improved grip downhill, along with a long service life.
