SRAM GX Type 2.1 Long Cage Rear Derailleur

The SRAM GX Type 2.1 long-cage rear derailleur is designed for 10-speed mountain bike drivetrains. The EXACT ACTUATION system eliminates play and variations in shifting, while ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH helps keep the chain stable. CAGE LOCK makes removing and refitting the wheel easier.

The cage is aluminium and the jockey wheel bearings are steel. It supports sprockets with up to 36 teeth: check that the largest sprocket does not exceed this value before buying. The colour is black. Use it on a 10-speed drivetrain, as the derailleur is specified for this number of speeds.

Founded in Chicago in 1987 by Stan Day and a group of cycling enthusiasts, SRAM is still based in the US city today. It makes drivetrains and brakes for road, gravel and mountain bikes. Its story began with a single product: Grip Shift, the shifter that lets riders change gear by twisting the grip.
