Technologies

X-Range™

Over the years, road bikes have become faster and more versatile than ever, and cyclists are expanding what is possible on a road bike. X-Range™ is an innovation for today's cyclists. Road bike gearing has been completely rethought to offer a wider, more progressive range alongside smarter shifting parameters. With X-Range™, you can be sure you have always chosen the best gear.

X-Dome

X-Dome technology creates an incredibly light, precise and robust cassette. The open design helps shed mud, giving you cleaner shifting and longer component life.

XDR™

The XDR™ freehub body is a universal mounting system for cassettes incorporating sprockets with fewer than 11 teeth. It enables lighter, more versatile drivetrains without the need to invent new thru-axle or tool standards or redesign the hub. XDR™ is 1.85 mm longer than XD™ and is designed for road wheels. XDR™ is compatible with all XD™ cassettes when fitted with a 1.85 mm spacer.

Founded in Chicago in 1987 by Stan Day and a group of cycling enthusiasts, SRAM is still based in the US city today. It makes drivetrains and brakes for road, gravel and mountain bikes. Its story began with a single product: Grip Shift, the shifter that lets riders change gear by twisting the grip.
