Trek Precaliber 20" 7-speed takes children from rides in the park to their first climbs. The 20-inch wheels, aluminium frame and components sized for smaller riders make the bike manageable; the 7-speed gearing helps them find a suitable gear when the route heads uphill.
- Child-sized controls: The brake levers are sized for small hands, and the twist shifter lets children select gears without letting go of the handlebar.
- Seven gears: The Shimano Tourney rear derailleur and 7-speed drivetrain make pedalling easier on climbs and help children become familiar with choosing gears.
- Comfort on uneven ground: The children's suspension fork and 20x2,25-inch Bontrager XR1 tyres help absorb small bumps.
- Size for growing riders: The 20-inch size is suitable for children who are 114-132cm tall: a practical guide to choosing a bike proportioned to their build.
A bike for learning to use gears and building confidence on increasingly varied routes, with a suspension fork and knobbly tyres.
Trek was founded in 1976 in Waterloo, Wisconsin, by Dick Burke and Bevil Hogg and is still based in the same city today. It makes road, mountain, gravel, city and electric bikes to support different ways of riding. Its story began in a barn, with 904 steel touring frames produced in its first year.
