Hope Tech 4 V4 Disc Brake with Left-Hand Lever

The new Tech 4 lever has changed considerably, and not just in appearance. Hope has also taken a major step forward in technical performance. The reservoir has been enlarged and redesigned. Thanks to the new design, the Tech 4 brake lever can transmit 30% more braking power. For a particularly light lever feel, the spring rate has been reduced and a brake piston guide is used. An industrial ball bearing at the pivot supports smooth movement. The brake lever has been lengthened for better modulation and greater control. As before, lever reach and bite point can be adjusted without tools. The two-piece handlebar clamp simplifies fitting, as nothing needs to be removed from the handlebar.

The V4 calliper is very stiff and has large cooling fins. High braking performance, excellent modulation and thermal design reliably stop even heavier riders on the toughest terrain.
The callipers, machined as usual from T6 2014 aluminium, are the result of development work using COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis). This reduces weight, improves appearance and creates the ideal partner for the Tech lever. Sealed bleed nipples make maintenance easier, and the extended fluid outlet simplifies hose routing. The brake pads can easily be removed upwards, making wheel removal unnecessary when changing them. The unique strength of this large brake calliper is its generous internal width, which allows the use of vented brake rotors!
