The Continental Gatorskin wire bead tyre is designed for road cyclists with a rim that takes a steel bead. The 180 TPI casing incorporates a bead-to-bead DuraSkin layer and a Kevlar-reinforced upper layer, with PolyX puncture protection. The rigid steel bead does not fold, so check that your rim is suitable for this type of bead.
