Decades of success in the Motocross and Rally World Championships led Pirelli's engineers to develop an innovative compound, SmartGRIP Compound for the Scorpion™ MTB range, combining two opposing properties: SmartGrip Compound for Scorpion™ MTB, combining two opposing properties: tear resistance, for maximum mechanical grip in dry conditions and maximum puncture resistance at the same time; chemical grip on wet surfaces, so you do not have to worry about rain or muddy, slippery trail sections. The compound used is the result of an intensive research and development process that has delivered outstanding performance in both dry and wet conditions. Tread designs optimised for ground consistency work regardless of weather conditions, maximising the effectiveness of the various knob geometries in the Scorpion™ MTB range for truly uncompromising performance. With the Pirelli Scorpion™ MTB range, you no longer need to change tyres according to the weather; simply focus on the ground consistency you usually encounter. Pro Wall
ProWALL is a sidewall reinforcement technology that improves puncture protection and handling even at low pressures. The additional layer of nylon fabric on the casing sidewalls improves protection against cuts and pinch flats as well as the stability of the entire structure, allowing better handling and more precise cornering, both essential to improving your off-road riding experience. All without compromising weight or rolling efficiency, making ProWALL a perfect solution for both cross-country racing and aggressive trail riding and enduro when paired with different casing structures, respectively 120 tpi and 60 tpi.
