Optimised for the front wheel, this all-round tyre balances stable grip, braking traction and rolling resistance. Ideal for mixed terrain conditions, pushing your limits on trails, in enduro or gravity downhill riding.

Features:

  • Soft compound: The balance between grip and rolling resistance for gravity-focused use. High levels of grip with reasonable rolling resistance. Allows you to optimise the rolling characteristics of the rear wheel on your DH bike or achieve the optimal combination for Enduro or Trail.

  • Enduro casing: Durable single-ply casing construction with Apex to prevent snakebite punctures.

  • Tubeless Ready: The casing structure is robust and resistant to damage and penetration by foreign objects. The result: versatility, low weight and an attractive design. Tyres made with this technology can also be used with an inner tube.

  • E25: also suitable for e-bikes.

Technology:

Used successfully in car tyres for years, its transfer to bicycle tyres was only a matter of time. A natural rubber profile inserted between the casing layers at the base of the tyre stiffens the sidewalls, minimising tyre twisting caused by high lateral loads. Stiffer sidewalls in turn reduce the risk of punctures and prevent the tyre from unseating from the rim. At low pressure, grip is improved without making cornering too sluggish. The risk of punctures is significantly reduced.

BlackChili:

A unique Continental compound, produced only in Germany, that revolutionises bicycle tyres! BlackChili Compound takes the balance between greater grip and rolling resistance to the highest level. Numerous first places in tests confirm the benefits measurable and verifiable in the laboratory and in the field. New-generation polymers, carbon particles developed using nanotechnology and fillers ensure truly unique performance. From the MTB downhill tyre to the time trial bike tyre, the ultimate in its respective field of use! BlackChili Compound improves rolling resistance by 26% while offering approximately 30% more grip than activated silica compounds. Tyres made with BlackChili Compound also offer higher mileage and, unlike multiple compounds, consistent performance from the first to the last kilometre.

Founded in Hanover in 1871, Continental is still based in the German city today. For cyclists, it makes tires and inner tubes for road, gravel, mountain biking and urban riding. Its connection with bicycles goes back to its early days: in 1892, it became the first German company to produce pneumatic bicycle tires.
