The folding bead significantly reduces weight compared with Rubino. Graphene 2.0
With the aim of pushing beyond the limits of what is thought possible, Vittoria has developed a new generation of Graphene: Graphene 2.0. Unlike first-generation Graphene, the new Graphene 2.0 is designed to improve specific tyre performance characteristics. In other words, while the first generation of Graphene compounds raised performance evenly across the board, Graphene 2.0 targets individual performance measures and increases them disproportionately compared with the others. Vittoria can now use Graphene to achieve targeted performance gains, improving speed, wet grip, durability and puncture resistance as required.
3C
3C (3 Compounds) is the compound used in all-round products. (3C) is the layering process that uses 3 different compounds in the same tread. The different properties of each compound, including G+ Isotech, provide an improved experience in all conditions.
Vittoria Clinchers
The clincher is the most common type of tyre and requires an inner tube. A clincher consists of a fabric casing (mainly nylon), can have a steel bead (rigid bead) or an aramid bead (folding bead), and undergoes a vulcanisation process. This process is irreversible and involves exposing the rubber to high temperatures together with a hardening agent, usually carbon, to increase the strength and durability of the rubber itself.
Founded in 1953 in Madone, in the province of Bergamo, Vittoria is now based in Brembate and makes bicycle tyres, tubular tyres and inner tubes. From road cycling to mountain biking, it supports cyclists with products that also use graphene in their tyre compounds.
